1. Objective
This dataset is the result of work package 2 from the MICORE project. The objective of
this work package is to take-in, store, process and disseminate physical data for each
pilot site (bathymetries, waves, tides etc.) in a form convenient for the assessment
of storm risk along the European coast. This will include (for each pilot site) data
collected from regular monitoring schemes, as well as (so far as relevant for this project)
historic physical data (collected in WP1) and measured physical data (collected in
WP3).
2. Datasets
The datasets consist of raw data, processing scripts, processed data and metadata. All collected
data is made available through the OpenEarth framework.
-
OpenEarth:
- can be found at the website http://www.openearth.eu. A user
account can be requested at https://oss.deltares.nl/.
-
Raw data:
- and data about historical storms can be found on the subversion server
https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/openearthrawdata.
-
Scripts:
- can be found in the same directory as the raw data. A lot
of scripts make use of the OpenEarth tools that are available through
https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/openearthtools
-
Processed data:
- can be found on the opendap server. The opendap server
is available through http://opendap.deltares.nl. A synchronized version
is available through http://opendap.tudelft.nl, that is maintained by
http://data.3tu.nl.
-
Metadata:
- can be found in the same directories as the raw data on
https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/openearthrawdata. An interface to the
metadata is made available on the server from Emilia Romagna at
http://geo.regione.emilia-romagna.it/geonetwork.
3. On this DVD
On this DVD you can find an overview of the datasets (overview/overview.xls file in overview
directory) and the raw inspire xml metadata (inspiremetadata directory).
